Creative Katz is led by Andrew Katz (friends call him, “Drew”), a multidisciplinary creative director, designer, photographer, and entrepreneur who has owned and operated several businesses and advised organizations of all sizes. He has over 25 years of experience helping organizations solve branding, marketing, and creative challenges across a wide range of industries. With a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MBA from Babson College, Katz approaches creative problem-solving with a blend of innovative thinking and practical, analytical strategy.

Drew started his professional career by opening Gallery Katz, a Boston-based fine art gallery featuring formalist works rooted in architecture and design. The gallery was the first in Boston to present a solo exhibition by artist Shepard Fairey. While attending graduate school, he shifted focus and founded Creative Katz, a full-service creative agency centered on graphic and web design. After several years of working with small, independently owned businesses as well as larger brands such as Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield, he assumed the role of Chief Creative Officer at a mid-size integrated agency providing creative services, public relations, and marketing for organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.

In late 2019, Drew joined Graffito SP, where he founded Graffito ID (GID), an award-winning creative agency specializing in branding, identity, environmental graphics, website design, and photography for restaurant, retail, and real estate clients. As the firm's Creative Director, he contributes to Graffito's advisory work, particularly on projects where the challenges are rooted in brand, positioning, and placemaking, while collaborating closely with the leasing team to develop marketing strategies and build compelling identities for businesses, destinations, and mixed-use developments. He also writes, hosts, and produces The Graffito Podcast, which explores the intersection of small business, retail leasing, neighborhood-scale planning, and urban design.

Outside of his client work, Drew maintains an active fine art photography practice under the pseudonyms Remi Thornton and Whirly Nerd. These identities, associated with night photography and aerial photography, respectively, function as both distinct bodies of work and performative extensions of his artistic practice.
